No matter from which country you adopt, everyone has a story to share. While every type of adoption can be emotionally and mentally taxing, international adoption comes with many unique challenges, especially when compared to domestic or foster adoption. Prospective adoptive parents have to navigate a new language, societal and cultural expectations, perhaps poor or sad conditions of the children's living quarters, and the money and ample paperwork required to acquire passports and actually travel to the foreign country a few times before adoption finalization.

If you've adopted from China, chances are you have some both wonderful and sad stories to tell, including the international adoption process in general. Below you'll find some stories from those who have adopted from China. Read through them and gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of adopting a child from China.

If you have a story to tell, please consider sharing it with us. We would love to add it to our growing library for others to appreciate with us.
